For patient with any other insurance, please call us we may be able to bill your insurance. And if we are not contracted with your insurance, you pay for the lactation visit out of pocket to us and we can still provide you with Lactation Visit Receipt (LVR) with all appropriate billing and procedure codes. You can claim your insurance for the reimbursement. 

Many insurance companies are now covering Lactation Consultation services by a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Nurse Practitioner (NP). According to Affordable Care Act (ACA) on HealthCare.gov website: “Health insurance plans must provide breastfeeding support, counseling, and equipment for the duration of breastfeeding. These services may be provided before and after birth. This applies to Marketplace plans and all other health insurance plans, except for grandfathered plans.”. While we cannot guarantee coverage, we often find that contacting your insurance company before you actually visit will make the reimbursement process easier.
