Posted on Bless ObehiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a very good experience with Safiya and Melissa. They are friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and kind. I wasn’t sure how to measure my flange size and Safiya helped me with that and improved the amount of ounces I was getting per pumping session. I would def recommend them to a friend or family member for the future.Posted on Odha SudihardjoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Simply Lactation and Safiya have really made it easy for me to set up the in home lactation consultation sessions. Safiya has been really great in educating me all about breastfeeding and helped me came up with a personalized feeding and pumping plan based on my personal goals and my baby’s needs. The booking process is also really simple and streamlined - I was able to fill the form with my info and insurance details online and was contacted via text on the same day to let me know what my insurance covers and when the next available appointment is. As a sleep deprived new mom, I really appreciated how simple and straightforward the process was. More importantly, I really value the convenience of having Safiya share her expertise from the comfort of my own home. Safiya is clearly very experienced and passionate about helping moms go through their breastfeeding journey and I’m so thankful that I get to work with her!Posted on Keyla AhowTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend Hilary and Simply Lactation!Posted on Salwa KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Madeline has been such an important part of my breastfeeding journey. She’s so patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. What meant the most to me was how much she truly cared—not just about breastfeeding, but about me and my baby’s well-being. She would check in often, answer every question without hesitation, and always made me feel supported. Because of her, I was able to reach my goal of exclusively breastfeeding for six months, something I couldn’t have done without her guidance and encouragement. I’m forever thankful for this service and for the amazing lactation consultants - saffiya and madeline - who pour their hearts into helping first time moms like me. One of the best things about this service is the flexibility—they can support you remotely or even come to your home. If it weren’t for Madeline’s ability to visit me just three days after I left the hospital, I don’t think I would have reached my breastfeeding goal. Having her there in person gave my journey the strong start I needed and erased any doubts about whether I was producing enough for my baby. Thank you Saffiya and Madeline!!! So grateful for the work you are committed to!Posted on ElizabethTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Safiya is very patient and knowledgeable. After three kids, I realize every baby is different and every breastfeeding journey looks different. She took time to explain things to me and give me helpful strategies moving forward. I’m very appreciative!Posted on Judi OTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Safiya was GREAT!! Omg!!! She is very knowledgeable and right away was able to tell me what was wrong with my baby’s latch! The pediatrician didn’t even catch it! And she was super sweet and made me feel more comfortable! She showed me the appropriate pump settings on my pump! I could go on and on. Long story short: book the appointment! No matter how far along in your breastfeeding journey you are! It was worth it!Load more

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during a lactation consultation?
Each session starts with a detailed discussion about your baby’s feeding history and your breastfeeding experience. Your consultant will observe a feeding, assess latch and positioning, check for tongue or lip ties, and create a personalized feeding plan with practical steps you can follow right away.
Are your services covered by insurance?
Yes! We accept Aetna, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShield, and United Healthcare, and most plans cover up to six visits with no out-of-pocket cost as part of preventive care. Virtual and in-home visits are typically included.
How soon can I get an appointment?
We offer next-day appointments in most cases. Once you fill out the form, our team verifies your insurance and schedules your session as soon as possible.
Do you offer in-home visits or virtual consultations?
Yes, both! You can book an in-home visit if you prefer hands-on guidance or a virtual consultation if you’d like support from the comfort of your home—especially ideal for new moms recovering postpartum.
Can you help with milk supply or pumping issues?
Absolutely. Our IBCLCs are experts in milk supply management, flange sizing, pumping schedules, and storage guidance. Many moms see improvement after just one visit.
My baby has a tongue tie. Can you help?
Yes. Our consultants are trained to identify and support tongue and lip tie concerns. We also coordinate care with pediatricians and dentists if a release procedure is needed, and provide post-procedure feeding guidance.
What if I’m a first-time mom and just need reassurance?
You’re not alone. Many moms book their first consultation just for peace of mind. We’ll walk you through best practices, check baby’s latch and feeding patterns, and answer all your questions—big or small.
Can you help if I’m combination feeding or exclusively pumping?
Yes! We support all feeding goals—exclusive breastfeeding, pumping, or formula supplementation. Our goal is to help you feel confident and informed in whatever feeding plan works best for your family.
Do you follow up after the visit?
Yes. You’ll receive a written care plan and ongoing follow-up via text or email to make sure you’re supported as things evolve.
How experienced are your consultants?
Our team includes board-certified IBCLCs and registered nurses with over 25 years of combined experience, who have supported more than 25,000 mothers in their breastfeeding journeys.
